In two volumes. With an unedited autobiography. LIMITED ISSUE OF 453 COPIES issued exclusively for members of the Bibliophile Society of Boston. Each volume features a B&W illustration in the frontspiece of Browning: Vol. I as a child, Vol II as a young woman. Each in VG+ condition.Vol I is boards covered in calf with gilt border and gilt lettering on spine. Top page edges also gilt. Some small scrates and some minor rubbing to spine base, crown and edge evident. Page edges have ragged naturalistic edges by design, and are tight and clean. Flyleaves have some faint traces of erased children's scribble in pencil. Vol II has a different binding; dark brown faux leather with black veins, gilt lettering to spine. Lettering is faded and some minor rubbing is evident to base and crown of spine. Binding and pages also in great condition, top edges gilt.

Small amount of soiling and fraying to base and crown, but presents very well. Decorative end papers, edges bright gilt. B&W illustrations as new. A gorgeous, gift quality book, uncommon.
