Third printing of this facsimile. Edited by Helge Kokeritz. "Published according to the True Originall Copies." A facsimile edition of the First Folio of Shakespeare's plays issued in 1623. Slightly reduced in size from the original, this is a faithful reproduction of the Huth copy of the First Folio owned by the Elizabethan Club at Yale. Includes, with the exception of "Pericles," all of the 37 plays now published in the complete works of Shakespeare. With line and scene numbers added to aid in comparison with modern texts, and an introduction by Charles Tyler Prouty, then Professor of English at Yale. In As New/Fine condition. Brown cloth hardcover with red and gilt block on spine, pages spotless and clean. Binding in very good condition. DJ in VG/G condition with minor taped tears to corners, some shelfwear and creasing at spine and book edges. Glossy creme paper with black 17th c. lettering and famous B&W engraving of Shakespeare.
